Article
Hello,
Click here to launch the demonstration video that you can follow with this tutorial (Missing the adding files for backup part).
In this tutorial, you will learn how to back up your files in Windows based platforms (PCs, or servers).
Download Bonkey at:
http://s3.amazonaws.com/bonkey/setup.exe
.... and install it, just like any other applications. If you don't know how to install this, this tutorial is probably not for you.
A special thanks to

for making this WONDERFUL software!
After installation; run Bonkey, and you should be greeted with a "Summary" page.
Note: First time running the program may prompt you with a page for you to read.
Click on 'Create a group' under the Actions category. Enter in a name for your group, and select the time between the backups. Click next. You should be prompt with a 'Target' page. Click 'Create new target...'
If you would like to backup using SFTP, select 'SFTP location'. If you would like to encrypt your files, check the box next to 'Encrypt files written to this location'. 'Require a username and password' needs to be checked as well. Press 'Next' to continue. Then, type in the IP or Hostname given to you in the welcome email. In this case, it would be: lax1.rsyncbackup.info. You will have to append /home/username/ to the back of the IP/Hostname. (ie. lax1.rsyncbackup.info/home/username/) If you would like to backup to a certain directory, you append /foldername/ after that. (ie. lax1.rsyncbackup.info/home/username/mybackups/). Click 'Next' to continue. Enter in your username and password indicated from the welcome email. Press Next, and Finish and you should be ready to go.
------
Choose your newly made target, and press 'Finish'. Now you should see a new group under 'Backup Groups'. Click the group by the name and you should be greeted with the group's tab. Compression is set to .zip and backup type is set to 'Modified files only' on default to save you bandwidth. On the sides, you should see a 'Location' navigation, and another one to the left of it with your group name on it. Drag files you would like to backup into your group folder.
You're done! Press the Summary tab on the top, and press the little 'Play' icon to initiate the backup for the first time. Backups should occur automatically accordingly to what you set it to be when you created the group.
